Lend It //
How might we allow communities to borrow and share their items (e.g. clothing, tools, textbooks) in a secure, effortless way?
I lead the product design and development on a team of four co-founders. I conducted interviews, surveyed users, and prototyped numerous potential structures and solutions in the development of Lend It. I also created and ran usability interviews and designed the UX/UI.
We found that many people were attempting to ask to borrow things from their communities, but not connecting with people who had what they need in time, leading to the unnecessary purchasing of one-off items, or simply leaving the need unsatisfied. We want to enable connections in these communities.
Our mission is to combat over-consumption and make the world feel accessible. We aim to do this by creating sharing communities. Borrow items from your local or greater communities and lend a helping hand by renting out items of your own.
